Your interview summarizes so well how churches should engage in an election year, and it's a huge encouragement for me and my husband, especially for him, since he is running for a Texas Senate in opposition to certain extreme political views on the issue of 'how religion should be intertwined with public schools.'; 'If you conduct yourself in a God-honoring campaign in a Godly manner, then it's not all about winning.' I wish we could foster a healthy, robust discussion at both the church and civil levels. I plan to quote your some of your comments in the interview for my work with World Relief. I hope that's okay. :) Thank you, Dr. Barrett. I'm looking forward to reading more about this issue.
